Bringing ENGIE complex back to life

In Anglet (France), on the Basque coast, ENGIE has been operating a site of almost 9 hectares since 1930, consisting of several buildings: offices, workshop, storage, factory, housing.

A few years ago, in 2019, ENGIE contacted Monoma to secure the site and bring back life into it in anticipation of a future project. Currently, about 20 residents are housed on the site. Some live in office spaces converted into rooms, while others share a red timber-framed house, a typical example of the local architecture.

Two of these residents, Marine-Anaïs and Noémie, have been sharing accommodation for several months and are happy to have found a space at such a low price. After all, the Basque coast's tourist appeal is driving up real estate prices in the region considerably. So, to find a room just minutes from the ocean, near a forest and shops, was an unexpected surprise for these two young women.

For Marine-Anaïs, who stayed in another Monoma building during the Covid period, Monoma offers the perfect solution to live in such a special place. "It is my dream to live abroad one day, and as an independent entrepreneur, the flexibility of the Monoma rental conditions gives me the opportunity to make my dream come true."
