Monoma Netherlands provides accommodation for Ukrainian refugees in a former health building

Monoma and the city of Tilburg (NL) have been working together for many years to make the city's vacant heritage useful. Until recently, this health building was used as a centre for anti-COVID tests. The city then asked Monoma to develop and manage the site to accommodate Ukrainian refugees.

Monoma took on the technical management of the building, its upkeep and maintenance, as well as security management, daily cleaning and catering.

As we are already cooperating with the municipality of Tilburg on the management of temporarily vacant properties, the link was easily established. We have the know-how and experience to quickly adapt and convert a building into a suitable place to live.

The building can accommodate around 160 refugees, and each family has its own private space. The kitchens, showers and toilets are shared. At this moment, the first refugees have already moved into the building, where they can stay for as long as the situation in Ukraine requires.
