In the opening program:
The area of Träskändan Manor with its buildings is a culturally and historically significant entity in Espoo. The City of Espoo has entered into an agreement with Monoma Finland Oy for the operation and activation of real estate, primarily for cultural activities. The goal is also to activate the entire park area as a living cultural center for Espoo residents and visitors to the area. As the main operator of the Aurora building, Monoma Finland intends to activate the property for the widest possible range of cultural and leisure activities. The site is quite well suited for practicing the visual and craft arts as well as for community and business activities, which brings cultural added value to users, visitors and the area as a whole. Building and current operations.
Completed in 1953, the building was designed by architect Erich von Ungern-Stenberg and housed a 44-seat ward and institutional kitchen, dining room, laundry room and sauna.
