In Conversation with Jamal – Team Lead Property Manager

Within Mosaic World, every position has its own dynamics, responsibilities, and challenges. But behind all those roles are stories of people who make a difference every day. Today, we talk to Jamal, Team Lead Property Manager, about his work, motivation, and the special moments that make his job so rewarding.

Ultimately, it's all about the people

As Team Lead, Jamal is responsible for both the technical and operational management of the properties managed by Monoma. This goes far beyond simply performing technical checks.

“I am responsible for the technical and operational management of our properties. This goes hand in hand with maintaining contact with residents and stakeholders,” says Jamal. Based on submitted inspections or tours of the locations, he assigns the work to various parties. These are documented and processed in clear reports. Because good management starts with a good overview of what is going on in a property—small or large, temporary or long-term. Good communication

As Team Lead Property Management, Jamal is the link between colleagues on the work floor, property owners, and contractors, who sometimes have differing wishes or expectations: "Good communication is essential in this regard. Due to the various interests involved in this position, it is necessary to communicate correctly and appropriately. “

”We also work closely with various contractors, which means that complex cases can almost always be resolved quickly. Emergencies are also well taken care of: all locations are equipped with fire safety measures that minimize risks."

Meaningful work every day

For Jamal, the work is not just about buildings, but above all about people.

"Working with people, maintaining business contacts with stakeholders, and the opportunities we can offer residents is rewarding and enjoyable. But what makes the difference for me is how we can contribute to providing housing for those in need. Last week, for example, we had a move-in in Harderwijk. A resident finally got her own permanent place there, something she had been waiting for for a long time. When she received her key, she had tears in her eyes.

And that's exactly what makes my job so special. It's not just about arranging and coordinating, but above all about the feeling that you are contributing to something. That you are helping someone find a place where they feel safe and at home."
