Successful Opening Event

On the 4th November 2022, we held a special opening of our Monoma Suomi office in Finland. We had a great time inviting both residents, artists, the mushrooming community, property owners and the Minister to partake in this opening ceremony.

“You have the keys to solve housing shortage in Finland”

Maria Ohisalo, Minister of Environment and Climate

After the success of meeting Minister of environment and climate, Maria Ohisalo in our Espoo project, we were delighted to welcome her as a special Guest speaker in our event. We also had the investment director of Varma, Sampsa Ratia, Elinia Alatalo from mushrooming.fi, Benjamin Sundberg and Jolijn van den hengel CCO of Mosaic World share their thoughts on the Monoma concept.

You can tackle social exclusion, so everyone will have a home first of all but also where everyone can create and co-create an active society together’

Maria Ohisalo, Minister of Environment and Climate

During the opening event, we were able to discuss the impact of Monoma’s regenerative idea of creating opportunities for unused properties both creating a profitable stream of income for the property owner and a beneficial impact on the local neighbourhood.

To showcase our unique housing and workspace concept, we invited our artists to create a unique artwork that can be displayed and bought throughout the event in a online auction. With more than 40 artworks of different categories ranging from paintings, sculptures, light fixtures, 3D modelling, music CDs and more. A number of interviews were taken from the Artists explaining their work and sharing their thoughts on the applause of Monoma helping the Artist community across Finland.

Together with speeches, networking drinks, mushrooming presentation and our speakers, we had a fantastic opening event to remember. We will be holding a roundtable soon and inviting our Guest Speaker to continue expressing their positive thoughts on how the Monoma concept can be utilised across many spaces in Finland.
